Device Donation & Re-Housing
Give working devices a second life with a not-for-profit.
Not every retired device needs to be recycled. If a computer, laptop or tablet still works, Suburban Australia can securely wipe it, free of charge, and re-house it with a not-for-profit, community group or family who needs it, as part of our environmental initiative.
Who receives donated devices
- Registered not-for-profits and charities
- Community groups and volunteer-led organisations
- Churches, schools and ministries supporting families in need
- Individuals referred through a partner organisation
How it works
- Tell us what working equipment you are retiring and roughly how much of it there is.
- We assess the equipment and securely wipe any storage devices, free of charge.
- Working devices are matched with a not-for-profit, community group or referred family wherever possible.
- Anything not suited to re-housing is still responsibly recycled rather than sent to landfill.
Part of a wider environmental initiative.
Re-housing working devices sits alongside secure data destruction and responsible recycling as one of the ways Suburban Australia keeps technology out of landfill and in use for longer.
