Desktop computers & workstations
Office and home desktops, all-in-ones and workstation towers, with or without drives fitted.
Computer recycling has quietly been part of Suburban Australia's environmental initiative for more than seven years. Collection and recycling of working equipment is free, always with no obligation, from a locally run Townsville service. We add secure data destruction, a low-cost certificate of erasure, and re-housing of working devices with not-for-profits instead of landfill.
From a single laptop to a full office or server room clear-out, equipment is collected free of charge, assessed and handled securely across Townsville and surrounding areas.
Office and home desktops, all-in-ones and workstation towers, with or without drives fitted.
Business, school and personal laptops of any age or condition, including devices that no longer power on.
LCD and LED monitors, panels and displays retired from offices, classrooms and homes.
Phones and tablets still in working order, securely wiped before reuse or re-housing.
Working servers, switches, routers and rack equipment retired from business or community environments.
Secure data destruction, responsible recycling, business equipment removal and device re-housing all sit under the one environmental initiative.
Every storage device is securely wiped or physically destroyed before equipment is reused, re-housed or recycled, so sensitive information never leaves in a recoverable state.
Desktops, laptops, monitors, servers and networking gear are collected, assessed and responsibly recycled or refurbished.

Part of Suburban Australia, based in Townsville and familiar with local business and community needs.
Data destruction happens before equipment is reused, re-housed or recycled, not as an afterthought.
Computer recycling and secure disposal have been part of Suburban Australia's environmental initiative since 2019.
Recycling and re-housing exist to keep working technology out of landfill and in the hands of people who need it.
Collecting and recycling working equipment is free. If you need proof that data was destroyed, Suburban Australia issues a Certificate of Secure Erasure for a low flat rate per device.
Some equipment that is no longer functioning, such as older CRT monitors, damaged batteries or units with hazardous components, needs a special disposal process. We will flag this during your quote and confirm any cost before anything happens.
Added to any recycling, collection or data destruction job on request. Collection itself stays free.

A few things worth knowing before you get in touch.
Yes, for working equipment. Collection and recycling of computers, laptops, monitors, phones, tablets, servers and networking gear is free. The only cost is an optional Certificate of Secure Erasure, charged at a low flat rate per device.
Recycling covers what happens to the equipment. A certificate is a separate, documented record confirming data was securely destroyed — useful for accountants, medical practices, legal firms, schools and any organisation that needs proof for its own records.
Non-functioning equipment is still accepted. Some items, such as older CRT monitors, damaged batteries or units with hazardous components, need a special disposal process, which we will explain and confirm before proceeding.
We collect right across Townsville and the surrounding suburbs. If you are unsure whether your area is covered, contact us and we will confirm straight away.
Yes. Larger business or office clear-outs can include an asset list alongside individual certificates of secure erasure, useful for internal audit and compliance requirements.
Working devices are assessed for reuse, refurbishment or re-housing with a not-for-profit or community group first, ahead of recycling, so useful equipment does not go to waste.
Most collections can be arranged quickly once a quote is confirmed. Contact us with what you have and your suburb and we will let you know the next available time.
Tell us about your equipment and we will get back to you promptly with your options.
If your devices still work, they may be a better fit for our not-for-profit re-housing pathway than recycling.
